“Real estate cannot be lost or stolen, nor can it be carried away. Purchased with common sense, paid for in full, and managed with reasonable care, it is about the safest investment in the world.” – Franklin D. Roosevelt
Hello, I’m Cheryl Malagon. Originally from Indianapolis, Indiana, I grew up spending much of my time on my grandparents’ farm in Amos, Kentucky, where my love for country living was born.
At 19, I moved to Florida, earning a master’s degree from the University of South Florida. My career spanned over 27 years in the probation field, with 23 of those years in Federal Probation. I also served as an adjunct instructor at two small colleges, sharing my passion for helping others.
Helping people has always been a cornerstone of my life. Since moving to Tennessee, I’ve been captivated by the region’s natural beauty and warm community. I love exploring the stunning mountains, horseback riding, motorcycle adventures, working out, practicing yoga, and gardening. My family includes two wonderful dogs, our twoTennessee Walkers, and a rescue donkey. Volunteering at Horse Haven of Tennessee was a fulfilling experience, allowing me to care for horses rescued by law enforcement and connect with inspiring, dedicated individuals.
In 2014, my husband and I retired and made Tennessee our home, though our connection to East Tennessee began over a decade earlier. When we arrived on our motorcycle and saw deer grazing on what would become our property in the foothills, I knew we had found our place. I’d love to help you discover your special place, too.
