“Real estate cannot be lost or stolen, nor can it be carried away. Purchased with common sense, paid for in full, and managed with reasonable care, it is about the safest investment in the world.” – Franklin D. Roosevelt

Hello. My name is Cheryl Malagon. Originally from Indianapolis, Ind., I spent a lot of time growing up at my grandparents' farm in Amos, Ky. This is where my love of living in the country began.
I moved to Florida at age 19, and obtained my master's degree from the University of South Florida. I worked in the probation field for over 27 years, spending the last 23 years at Federal Probation. I was also an adjunct instructor at two small colleges.
One thing I have always like to do is help people. I truly enjoy meeting the wonderful people in Tennessee, and the beauty of this area. In addition to hiking in the breathtaking mountains here, I love horseback riding, motorcycle riding (especially with the law enforcement motorcycle club that we are members of), working out, yoga and gardening. I am passionate about spending time with my family, our three dogs, our Tennessee Walker, and our rescue donkey. I hope to begin utilizing our therapy dog to work with those in need. As a volunteer at Horse Haven of Tennessee, I helped to care for the horses confiscated by law enforcement, and I met some amazing people who are committed to this cause.

My husband and I moved here to Tennessee after retiring in 2014, though we had strong ties to East Tennessee going back more than 10 years. When we rode up on our motorcycle, and saw the deer grazing on what would become our foothills property, I just knew we were home. I would love to help you have that moment.
